Frequently asked questions!
where are you based out of?
Detroit, Michigan but i frequently travel for photo sessions.
how many images will be delivered and how are they delivered?
All of the best images, which is around 75. They are high resolution, edited, jpeg files that will be delivered to you through a digital download. It’s an online gallery that comes straight to your email with all of your edited images. You will then download your images to your computer. You also can easily share your images with friends and family right from the online gallery. Plus, I never put a cap on the amount of images delivered, since every session is different and no two are the same. I also promise to give you the best of the best and i won’t withhold any images from any full session.
do you give out raw (unedited) images?
No. Nope. No way. Never! This is where the real magic of your images comes from! Photographing you babes is only the half of it. If i gave you the raw files, It would be like going to a baker and asking for a cake but instead they handed you eggs, cake mix and frosting then told you to make the cake yourself. You went to that baker since you love their cakes and not to make their cake yourself. This is how it is with photographers, you come to us because you love our work and you want a finished product! I promise i won’t leave out the good stuff but i will exclude the bad i.e closed eyes, clothing malfunctions (unless its funny). You wouldn’t want a cake maker leaving shells in your cake would you?
is there anything specific you recommend?
Absolutely! I always recommend getting your nails done. Your hands will be in the photos and sometimes even your feet. Clean polished hands always photograph nicely and i say get a pedi as well, especially for in home sessions, since your shoes and socks will be off.
-Get your hair and make up done, everyone feels fabulous when they look fabulous.
-AVOID SPRAY TANS AT ALL COST, especially on your wedding day! 97% of the time they have an orange hue and some, if not most, leave streaks or blotches on your hands and feet.
-Other things i reccomend to avoid are logos and highlighter colors i.e. hot pink, lime green, neon yellow, bright bright orange etc. I don’t want anything to take away from your pretty faces and these colors and large logos definitely do that.
-One more thing to avoid is patterns with really tiny squares or lines that are tight together. They do not photograph well and look like swirls instead of lines or squares.
CAn my dog come to the photo session?
YESSSSSSSS!!! As long as the location we are going to be shooting at allows pupper-doodles, you can definitely bring your fur baby. I just recommend that have a friend or family member tag along for the shots the pup won’t be in or if it’s too hot/cold for their paws. P.S. bring treats and LOTS of them!
what do we do if the weather is bad?
EMBRACE IT! Some of my favorite images have come from storms! As long as its nots wildly pouring down rain and lighting, i saw lets go for it!
